I joined the Zhang group at Rutgers University Newark the Fall of 2021. I was originally adopted from Cambodia and grew up mostly in San Francisco, but I have lived abroad for half my life in Japan, Germany, and England. I have two older siblings, a brother and sister, who both live in Nashville, Tennessee.

I got my B.A. Degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and received a distinction in chemistry for proteomic research using MALDI-TOFTOF.

Outside of academia, I enjoy playing music, I play piano and flute, gaming, and reading (You can see what I'm currently reading below).

I am still deciding what I want to do after I complete the doctorate program.
